This performance work where I stream myself marching and demanding "Where is my Universal Basic Income" at Black Lives Matter Plaza on Election Day 2020 at 3PM - is my individual artwork deeply tied with my personal history and present circumstances.
I am 1 woman personally marching for the benefit of 7 billion humans.
This artwork is not just of something that I want. This artwork is a universal expression of something we all need.
Universal Basic Income is a state policy that issues minimum $1200 a month to all citizens unconditionally.
Spain already has passed it in response to Corona, and many other countries are considering it.
This artwork is a proxy performance piece.
'Proxy Performance' is a form of performance art collaboratively constructed by Chongha Peter Lee and other researchers across the planet based on the practice of activists acting upon proxy rights given to them by those who would benefit from them.
Anyone can make a proxy performance - simply just begin to stream, post, meme, remix and share "Where's My Universal Basic Income?" as you see fit and hashtag #wheresmyubi and wheresmyubi.com.
Data will be analyzed by AI to produce an accurate portrait of the number of people supporting the policy that would benefit all children specifically on Election Day in 2020 during the Corona crises. In addition, AI will tag those who will benefit from UBI at this time.
Martin Luther King Jr. had proposed a version of Universal Basic Income in ~1967.
Thomas Paine also proposed a version of Universal Basic Income as a foundational principle of America in 1797.
Spain already has passed a form of Universal Basic Income in response to the Corona crisis. Many other states are in the process of discussing passing Universal Basic Income and transitioning to a post-scarcity economy.
If you like performing or being there in person - Go to Black Lives Matter Plaza in Washington, D.C. At 3PM EST and livestream or document my performance - or perform with me or just hang out.
If you like performing but don't have free time to come - take part of the "stream-in" - talk about anything you would like or perform anything you would like - and tag #Wheresmyubi and wheresmyubi.com.
If you are shy - Take part of the "post-in" and "meme-in" - post this meme or line: "I bet AI will prove that all children benefit from Universal Basic Income."
- and hashtag #Wheresmyubi and wheresmyubi.com to participate.
(Click the image and screenshot it!)
If you are undecided - take part in the "wait-in" share #Wheresmyubi and wheresmyubi.com and discuss with others - and tag those who you think may be tagged by AI as benefitting from UBI.
AI will later tally all data and produce an accurate portrait of the number of people supporting the policy that would benefit all children specifically on Election Day in 2020 during the Corona crises.
On the 505th birthday of Universal Basic Income in May 2021, a painting created by Selma Selman, artists, and an AI which objectively proves that Universal Basic Income benefits all children for 7 generations to come and is understandable by a 7 year old child - will be exhibited.
